7 Reasons Why You Should Become a Real Estate Agent
Here are my top 7 reasons why you should become a real estate agent… no I’m not going to mention being your own boss, because we already know that, and if you stick around till the end, I’m going to throw in a bonus one for you!

Top 7 reasons why you should become a real estate agent, and in no particular order…
#1) You get to meet new people. The coolest and sometimes hardest part about my job as a real estate agent is dealing with all the different people and their personalities. In this field, you meet all kinds of people you would have never been able to meet had you been sitting in an office all day.
#2) This probably has to be my favorite reason: You get to help people during major milestones in their lives. Buying and/or selling a home is not something most people do often, so when you help a first time buyer purchase their first home and see their eyes light up and they have a huge smile on their face when they finally close, or when you’re helping a family sell their home of over 20 years. These are major life changes and you are there to help these people.
#3) Real estate is always changing. If sitting in an office, looking at the same four walls, speaking to the same people, and working on pretty much the same thing everyday sounds nauseating to you… well then, real estate is definitely a great career choice because it is always changing. So if you like change, new trends, and adapting to different markets, real estate offers a versatile work life where you will never be bored. With that being said… that takes me to
#4) You never stop learning. With real estate being a field where things are constantly changing, and so many different niches in real estate, like commercial, residential, or foreclosure, tax deeds, and so many others, you can spend a lifetime learning about real estate and still not know everything.
#5) You get to see incredible or not so incredible homes and everything in between. I thought I had seen a lot back when I was a teacher, but there’s no telling what these eyes have seen since I began my real estate career. From massive mansions you could only dream of living in, to stunning beach front condos, to homes that have been destroyed. Each and every home has its own personality and definitely something to see.
#6) Flexible dress code. Not going to lie… but one thing I absolutely love about being a real estate agent is this… I used to get so stressed out every morning trying to figure out what I was going to wear and looking presentable all the time for work. I love that now I can go to the gym and walk right into my brokerage with my workout attire on and no one can say anything to me. I can even show properties like this if I wanted to. Although I would not recommend doing that, unless it’s one of your really good friends.
#7) Doesn’t require a college education and can be a quick process to get started in comparison to other careers. Let’s face it! College isn’t for everyone and what other profession can you quickly complete your certification process, start working in about a month’s time, make lots of money, and not have to break the bank getting your education. No hate for those that went to college, as I too am a college grad.
For the Bonus) You decide your income. When I tell you in real estate the sky’s the limit when it comes to your income, I mean it! I never thought it would be possible to make the amount of money I have made in the short amount of time I have been in real estate. Will you work a lot of hours, possibly. But, the more you put into it, the more you’ll get out of it.
